Romanian Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DCOCT) will interrogate citizens, who were a part of Sky News' report about arms' trade from Romania, informed romaniacurata.ro.

Today, officers of DCOCT carried out searches in Targu Mures and Bistrita Nasaud, quoted agerpres.ro sources from the justice system. The reason for the raids was the report of the British television channel Sky News. In DCOCT for questioning it was taken one of the defendants in the case. There are four more on turn.

The criminal case was initiated on the fact of smuggling and violations in arms’ trafficking. Recall that recently the Sky News television channel showed a report about two suspected arms’ traffickers from Romania. Their goal is to sell goods from Ukraine to customers in Western Europe.

Romanian authorities do not exclude that this is an attempt to discredit the country, because weapons, presented in the report, are hunting one, not combat.
