The chairman of the Supreme Soviet from Tiraspol, Vadim Krasnoselski is a clear winner in the presidential elections from the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic.

According to the local media, for him voted twice as many voters than as for the current President, Evgheni Şevciuc. The results are confirmed by election commissions from the polling stations.

Evgheni Şevciuc has not come yet with a reaction on the election results.

Krasnoselski was supported by the "Edinaya Rossia" Party during the campaign.

Vadim Krasnoselskii was born on the 14th of April, 1970, in the Zabaikalie region of Russia. In 1978 Krasnoselskii family moved to their residence in Bender because his father was military and was assigned to the service here. After finishing school in 1987, Vadim Krasnoselskii entered the Polytechnic Institute in Odessa but abandoned the same year to enter the military school Harkiv, which he he graduated with honors in 1993. From the same year he started working in the security forces from Transnistria, and in 2006 was a part of the leadership of the Ministry for Interior and was given the rank of Colonel. From 2007 until 2012 he was the Minister of Interior, and in 2008 was given the rank of General. From 2012 to 20015 he worked in private structures. In 2015 he was elected deputy in the Supreme Soviet, and in December 23rd, 2015, was elected  the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet. He is married, has a son and two daughters.
