A 34-year-old man has been detained in the case of illegal alienation of apartments in Cahul. The suspect acted in complicity with two men from Cahul, including a registrar from the District Cadastral Office, arrested in March.
The individual, a resident of a village of the Cahul municipality, had falsified his identity card and court judgments, on the basis of which the suspects illegally obtained the ownership of two buildings.
The man will spend the next 72 hours in custody.
It should be noted that the two suspects, who are currently in custody for 30 days, have been detained by the NAC and the anticorruption prosecutors in a case of scam and abuse of office.
The men identified individuals, who owned apartments, illegally disposing them of the real estate on the basis of non-existent judgments and a false identity card.
Up to this point, law enforcers have documented two cases of this kind.
For the incriminated deeds, individuals risk imprisonment for up to 15 years.
