The National Anticuruption Centre (NAC) reports that the Head of the Regional Development Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Constructions and is being investigated for excess of power. He is accused of corrupting acts, including violations in the tender procedures.
The functionary influenced his subordinates that had to take decisions in favour of some certain economical agents. Some tenders were unreasonable cancelled and the winners of others were companies associated with the head of the department.
Crime Moldova mentioned that the NAC officers conducted many searches, including in the director’s office and found evidences of his guilty.
According to that evidence a criminal case was initiated. In case if the director if found guilty he risks a prison for 6 to 10 years and a ban of occupy public positions for 10 to 15 years.
Now he is investigated in liberty, because he is in a hospital.
