Three officials were preliminary detained for 72 hours. They are: the chief inspector of the General Trade Department, the head of the department for accident-prevention protection in the rescue force and a doctor assistant from the Centre of Public Health. They are accused of bribe in exchange of non-reaction on some violations.
If they are found guilty they risk a fine of 20 thousand lei and an imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.
Also the prosecutors accused the owners of the café “La Soacra” of violations of the rules of labor protection, safety instructions and risk to get a sentence of up to 10 years of prison.
The accused of violations woman admitted her fault, the owner of the café admitted it partially.
We remember that three moths ago there was an explosion in the café “La Soacra”, where 4 people died and 9 got hurt. Three victims that suffered a wound filed a suit against the owners and required non-pecuniary damages of 2 mln lei.
