DIP press service informs about new attempts of transmission of prohibited objects to persons in prison. The free people don’t give up the ingenious ideas even at the risk of being behind the bars themselves.

In this context, Saturday, August 20, 2016, at around 14:00, the employees of the supervisory regime service within the penitentiary No. 9- Pruncul, have registered a case against prohibited objects in the detention institution. At the crossing and control point of the detention institution, came a woman aged 28, who was supposed to have a brief meeting with a prisoner aged 41, sentenced to 11 years in prison. As a result of a body search by officers of law and order, were found, in the personal bag pocket, 160 bills of MDL 200, in a total of MDL 32.000

At the same time, on the same morning at the crossing and control point of Prison No. 7-Rusca, a woman who was supposed to meet with a prisoner aged 37. After the appropriate inspections, officers of law and order have found in her belongings, 2 bottles of “beer”, 2 chargers for a cell phone and a perfume.

This weekend has not gone without required serches in detention institutions in the country either.

In the penitentiaries No. 3- Leova, no.4-Cricova, no. 9 and no. 16-Pruncul, no. 11- Bălți and no. 13 Chișinău, checks were carried out in the prisoner cells. Officers of law and order have taken out of various improvised stashes: 2.5 liters of "beer", 1.5 liters of wine "and" 255 liters of alcoholic beverage "braga" ,an artisanal made electric stove and two mobile phones. At the same time, employees of the penitentiary No. 18 from Branesti and Security and Operative Investigations Directorate of the DIP joined by Botanica Police Inspectorate employees discovered at the place of residence of the two prisoners two mobile phones.

All materials accumulated on these cases were handed over to Police Inspectorates of the radius of the location of penitentiaries, for investigating and decision-making under the legislation in force.
