A man aged 29, originally from Nisporeni, was detained for 72 hours on suspicion of recruiting minors for commercial sexual exploitation.
General Inspectorate of Police informs that the actions of a specific nature, aimed at preventing and combating trafficking in children, of the Centre for Combating Human Trafficking documented during the months from August to September this year, a mini-hotel in Chisinau, the administrator of which recruited minors from socially vulnerable families for commercial sexual exploitation.
The money, in the amount of EUR 50-70, offered by the customers, were collected by the organizer, a small part of which were transmitted to the exploited minors.
Thus, they identified two minors aged 15 to 17 who were recruited by the suspect. Being saved by investigative officers and subsequently sent to social protection services.
There was initiated a criminal case under Art. 206 Criminal Code (trafficking of children). If proven guilt, the suspect faces a prison sentence of 10 to 15 years.
