A Moldovan citizen was in an international search for suspected extortion on a large scale, was arrested by police in Sverdlovsk region in Russian Federation, writes news agency ria.ru.
The source refers to a article of the Russian Ministry of Interior from the region of Sverdlovsk, stating that the law enforcement authorities of the Russian Federation detained a man born in 1987, who is internationally wanted for arrest and extradite to Moldova at the initiative of MIA on the grounds of committing large scale scams.
According to the criminal case, during 2014-2015 in different regions of Moldova, the man under the disguise of service provision intermediate selling and repairing cars, entered fraudulently, in possession of six cars, and a sum of money of one of the victims. Thus, by his actions, the man would have made victims, material damages of over 50 thousand dollars.
According to reports, the man would have arrived in Russia in 2015, but so far has not been employed, although driving around in expensive cars. Currently, he is in custody and preparatory measures are held for extradition proceedings.
