A Moldovan citizen that had been in international search because of racketeering was arrested in Italy.

On 24 August, Italian Carabinieri arrested a 29- year-old man while he was in his parents' home in the town of Podenzano.

Interpol in Moldova has been monitoring the person for several month, but their Italian colleagues carried out the detention.

In October 2015, the young man was wanted by Moldovan police for having created a group of people who participated in racketeering. The group of criminals threw Molotov cocktails in the garden of a citizen because of some misunderstandings, according to agora.md.

The man had actively recruited members of the criminal group, however, he did not take an active part in the act of revenge personally, he was accused of "creating a criminal group, threat of death, injury, destruction and damage by negligence".

The Moldavan citizen will be extradited and probed along with other accomplices, who have already been arrested.
