A border policeman was arrested yesterday by the officials on suspicion of drugs sale of plant origin. He commercialized "marijuana" in towns and districts in the northern region of the country.
After special investigative measures, IPAS officers made 2 control acquisitions from the suspected policeman, buying drugs of plant origin "marijuana" in a amount of approximately 2.500 grams.
Subsequently, as a result of the joined action plan organized with the General Police Inspectorate, a third acquisition of control was conducted, during which the border guard was arrested red-handed.
There have also been carried out searches at the residence and office of the policeman, which resulted in detected and confiscated vegetable dried mass similar to drugs of the narcotic origin plant "marijuana" in an amount of about 2.500 grams, and 8, 5.45 mm caliber battle cartridges.
At the moment, the border guard is retained for a period of 72 hours and is in the insulator. If found guilty, he faces a prison sentence of up to seven years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain positions or to practice certain activities for a period of 3-5 years.
