Antidrug officers immobilized and handcuffed three drug dealers. The young men allegedly obtained a profit of about 3 million lei from the sale of banned substances.
The drug dealers proved to be residents of Sangera, aged between 23 and 37. They were actively involved in marketing herbal drugs, in especially large quantities in Chisinau.
The investigation established that they sold drugs of plant origin only to consumers they knew and trusted.
The perpetrators were detained in Chisinau, while two of them were traveling with a Dacia, which belongs to a taxi company. Several packets of green plant mass, which had to be marketed for the price of 250 lei per gram, were found on the back seat of the car.
At the same time, police raided and conducted searches at the residence of the third suspect, where they seized two bags with crumbled vegetable mass, similar to marijuana, packets with drugs ready for sale, mobile phones, previously used in organizing and providing illicit trafficking drugs, small electronic scales and marked cash, previously transmitted by antidrug officers.
The three suspects were detained for 72 hours and risk a prison term of 7 to 15 years.
