The fighter Aurel Ignat, who participated in the beating that ended in the death of Sergiu Bejenari, remains in custody for another 30 days. The decision was taken Tuesday, June 12, by the judges of the Court of Appeal.
The ruling was issued after Aurel Ignat's lawyer challenged to the Court of Appeal the decision of the trial court. The defender said Ignat pleads not guilty and claims he only reacted to blows.
