The two young men, who killed two underage boys and buried their bodies in a forest in Ungheni, are to receive arrest warrants and be announced internationally wanted. After committing the crime, the suspects fled to the Russian Federation.
Ungheni District Prosecutor's Office, Eduard Florea, told CrimeMoldova that prosecutors have already drafted a request for arrest warrants and that the court is to decide to apply the measure on the afternoon of 11 April, or on Thursday, 12 April.
"We have accumulated all the evidence necessary to apply the arrest measure. Once the warrants have been issued, the two suspects will be announced immediately internationally wanted. We are going to work with law enforcement officials from the Russian Federation to identify and detain the suspects, and then they will be extradited to the Republic of Moldova," Florea said.
According to the prosecutor, the two suspects have other infringements, too. "They have hijacked a means of transport. However, we are going to investigate the circumstances and establish whether the young men committed other crimes," the source said.
We remind you that two teenagers, aged 15 and 17, were killed by two other young men, both 20 years of age. After committing the crime, the suspects buried the victims’ bodies in a forest near Cetireni, Ungheni district.
The murder occurred on April 3, when all the four went to the house of a suspect’s grandfather and consumed alcoholic beverages together. Soon, there arouse a conflict that developed into a fight among young people. The victims were beaten until they died. At the same time, other injuries were found on their corpses. At present, law enforcers are awaiting the results of the forensic expertise.
A criminal case for murder was started in this respect. If found guilty, the suspects risk 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.
