General headmaster of Orizont High School, Turgay Şen, detained in Chisinau Airport on the morning of March 31st, has been exempt from criminal liability.

According to the Prosecutor's Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Causes (PCCOCS), it was found that Turgay Şen Mustafa did not commit any offense.

The headmaster of Orizont Lyceum, a Turkish citizen, was detained at the end of March by the ISS and the PCCOCS to be heard as a suspect in a criminal case. The case refers to deeds qualified as serious and particularly serious crimes. Criminal prosecution in this respect continues.

After several hours of talks, the man was released with the status of a suspect.

The press wrote that Şen 's detention is related to the measures undertaken against the supporters of the former Imam Fethullah Gulen, a former ally of Turkish President Erdogan. Gulen is accused by the Turkish president of having staged the attempted coup d'état of July 15, 2016, a fact denied by Gulen.
