An individual recognized as the injured party in a criminal case, set himself on fire while pronouncing the sentence. He tried, in such a way, to demonstrate his disagreement with the sentence, which is, in his opinion, too gentle, according to which the  defendants would be convicted.

The incident occurred in the afternoon of the 28th of December, inside the Supreme Court from Tiraspol, of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic.

The swoldiers from the convoy battalion of the Ministry of Justice intervened, applying force and anti-inflammatory materials. As a result, three soldiers ended up with burns.

The police, the ambulance and the fire services were called to the headquarters of the Supreme Court. The citizen who set himself on fire but also the three soldiers needed medical assistance.
