The former Democratic deputy, Iurie Bolboceanu, detained for spying and treason, will be in custody for another 30 days.
The information was confirmed for CrimeMoldova by POOCCSC prosecutor Vitalie Busuioc. "The decision was delivered on Tuesday, May 16, by the magistrates of the Chisinau Court, Center headquarters. Iurie Bolboceanu will be kept at Penitentiary no. 13," said Busuioc.
Recall that the former deputy Iurie Bolboceanu was detained on March 17, 2017 for espionage and homeland betrayal in favor of Russia. Bolboceanu had been taken over by foreign secret services several years ago, to whom he would have systematically transmitted secret information to the detriment of the Republic of Moldova, receiving thousands of euros for the services he offered.
If found guilty, the former deputy may be sentenced to 12 and up to 20 years of imprisonment.
