The crime rate in Moldova significantly increased from the beginning of 2016 in comparison with the same period in 2015. The increase of 11,13% is caused by a bigger number of cases of torture (+107,69%), corruption (passive +41,38%, active +82,35%), blackmail (+91,67%) and thefts from apartments (+48, 26%).
Anyway, there were less economic crimes in January-March 2016, thanks to the decrease of number of the production of counterfeit money cases (-54,81%).
However, in 2016 the officials became too active. Thus, in comparison with the beginning of 2015, in 2016 there were fixed 82,35% more cases of active corruption and 41,38% of passive corruption. The facts of the excess of power increased, too (+51,92%).
