The prosecutor's office in Falesti filed a criminal case regarding Alexei Ous, the young man who was humiliated and threatened with the death by three drunk cops.

The Prosecutor Eduard Fistic informed CrimeMoldova that the case was filed under Article 166 of the Penal Code for inhuman or degrading treatment.

The man of the law said that the three police officers denounced by Ous have no status in the file yet, because the data of the expertise is to be established.

The victim, who comes from a vulnerable family, was housed by relatives at a house in the village of Ivanovca, Falesti district. He said the three policemen, two of whom were dressed in uniform, came to the house on the evening of July 23 and asked him to present the identity card.

Because he did not have the identity card, the police officers forced him to inflate the tires of the car they came with, then dragged him into the car and took him to a hill. There, the cops would have forced him to kneel and asked him what kind of death he wanted, threatened him with a firearm, and asked him to recognize a murder, a rape and other crimes he did not have committed. One of the policemen, who would have been drunk, put his lit cigarette on his eye.

The young man was left on the hill, and when the cops left, they threatened to set his house on fire, if he decides to tell anyone about what had happened.

The three policemen are Andrei Bumbac, Marcel Covalciuc and Iurie Solomud. The article 166 of the Penal Code provides that the intentional infliction of physical or mental pain or suffering, which constitutes inhuman or degrading treatment by two or more public figures, shall be punished by imprisonment from 3 to 8 years or by a fine between 67500 and 80 thousand lei, in both cases with the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions for a period of 5 to 10 years.
