The policeman from Orhei, who had sexually abused a minor and then assisted while she was raped by another individual, was fired following an internal investigation. The announcement was made on Wednesday, August 9, by the head of the General Police Inspectorate (GPI), Alexandru Pînzari, on a social network.
The head of the GPI specified that in the case of a police officer suspected of complicity in the rape of a minor from Orhei, a service investigation was initiated, which established that he had shown inappropriate behavior and attitude lacking integrity and dignity.
"He was disciplined with dismissal. Such behaviors are not tolerated among police officers, they risk being sanctioned according to the legislation in force," wrote Pînzari on Facebook.
Recall that the policeman, who had assisted the rape of the minor from Orhei district, was detained for 72 hours and is accused of having previously sexually abused the victim in his office. Under the pretext of having a complaint filed, he led the 16-year-old girl to the Orhei Police Inspectorate where he abused her sexually.
The man of the law was handcuffed a week after the arrest of two men of Vatici village, who were investigated for the rape of the 16-year-old girl. The case took place on the night of July 22 to July 23, at the Pelivan village disco, when the accused, who knew the victim, lured and forced her to his car and then sexually abused the child. The crime occurred in the presence of the policeman who was driving. If they are found guilty, the three risk up to 12 years in prison.
