Three human traffickers were detained and indicted. Over a year, the suspects recruited young women through social networks, subsequently, the girls were taken to Turkey for sexual exploitation.
Later, using the same scheme, the criminals tried to recruit young women for sexual exploitation in the UAE. Their illegal actions were cut short at the Chisinau International Airport, being detained when they intended to cross the state border.
Prosecutors filed charges of human trafficking, for which the law provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment. Also at the request of prosecutors, defendants, aged 19, 21 and 40, were placed under preventive arrest, according to the press release, issued by the General Prosecutor's Office.
Currently, prosecution continues to establish all the circumstances of the case and identify the persons involved in the offense.
