The investigative bodies of Slobozia, from the self-proclaimed Transnistrian republic, sent to court the criminal cases of three individuals accused of multiple thefts.
According to the press service of the Interior Ministry from Transnistria, the people involved are the 27-year-old Dmitri Fanin, the 30-year-old Aleksandr Geraşcenko, and the 28-year-old Vasili Golubov. All three were previously convicted of theft.
The source states that although Fanin and Geraşcenko were released from prison in May of 2015 they managed to commit several robberies already. According to the criminal investigation, during May 2015 - August 2016,they had committed at least seven robberies, including a boat, a car Volkswagen Transporter, thefts from two houses and three shops. The total value of stolen items was estimated at 63 000 Transnistrian rubles (about $ 5,575 US).
Vasili Golubov, who was previously convicted of theft, was involved in at least 2 thefts.
Fanin and Geraşcenco were detained by the police while transporting the stolen goods to the village Caragaş. Subsequently, Golubov was arrested too. All three of them have pleaded guilty.
