The prosecutors have detained three persons on suspicion of human trafficking for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation. The suspects are aged between 21 and 36.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, in the period of September - November this year, the suspects recruited a young woman from Ungheni, offering her to work as a dancer in a nightclub in Turkey. Later, the perpetrators changed their plans, urging her to prostitute in a hotel in Italy or France.
The suspects failed to implement their plans, as they were detained by prosecutors.
If found guilty of human trafficking, they face up to 15 years of imprisonment.
