On Wednesday, December 13, the Grigoriopol City Court of the self-proclaimed Transnistrian Republic sentenced Dmitri Ciumakov, 31, to three years of imprisonment and Dmitri Ungureanu, 20, to two years for mistreatment of two minors, Sechiraş and Bogdan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Interior of Transnistria, they were found guilty of arbitrariness.

The investigation established that on the night of September 20, 2015, Bogdan and Sechiraş tried to steal a lamp from Ciumakov’s fence. Catching the thieves, Ciumakov and Ungureanu forced them to get into their car. The teenagers were taken by force to a field near the canning plant of Grigoriopol. There, they were beaten, forced to dig their own graves and then made to promise to pay a sum of money.

During the investigation, Sechiraş and Bogdan hid from law enforcements, for which they were wanted and subsequently found.
