Two residents of Hincesti have been sentenced to seven years of imprisonment for sex trafficking of several young women to Turkey.

According to the prosecutors, in 2012, the defendants recruited three girls to work in Turkey as waitresses. The women paid for the execution of the necessary travel documents for the victims and organized their transportation to Turkey.

When arrived in Turkey, for three months long, the girls were forced to provide sexual services in an apartment and a nightclub.

The women have been convicted of trafficking in human beings for sexual exploitation. The sentence is entitled to appeal.
