The civic activist Oleg Brega could run independently on October 30 presidential elections.
Brega says there is no one worthy to vote for, so he will have to run himself.
"I'm tempted by the position of President, even if they imposed impossible conditions. I will start collecting signatures on the very first day. Obviously, I will run as an independent candidate, "he said to tribuna.md.
It should be noted that in this context Brega told for realitatea.md: "It's almost impossible, but I want to prove the opposite. These laws are stupid, made by mafia for mafia, not for citizens. The Constitution says that every citizen has the right to vote and to be elected, but it is not true". Oleg Brega adds that he would not negotiate with any party.
Oleg Brega, is 42 years old. He ran for the position of mayor of Chisinau from the party Democracy at Home in the local elections in 2015, obtaining 1.37% of the vote.
On 3 November 2014, Oleg Brega registered in the electoral race for the parliamentary elections of 30 November 2014, but he did not exceed the 2% threshold, set for independent candidates. He won only 0.88% of total votes.
