Dignity and Truth platform, filed Tuesday to the Court of Appeal an application for summonning of the Central Election Commission to court, as defendant, and on the name of Marian Lupu, DPM candidate, as accessory intervener.
In a statement issued by the DA Platform it is said: "In fact, by the CEC decision no. 236 of 10 September 2016 was ordered the registration of Marian Lupu as candidate for President of the Republic, nominated by the Democratic Party, the party that controls the political electoral authority for about 7 years and favors obvious candidate power defiance law and common sense. "
DA Platform states that the CEC violated the law when it registered Lupu's candidacy on a Saturday, when the regulation provides that a candidate can be registered only from Monday to Friday.
In accordance with the Regulations approved by the CEC decision no. 113 of 18 August 2016 the receipt of documents submitted by applicants for registration as candidates for President of the Republic of Moldova may take place after the work of the initiative group to collect signatures until the September 29, 2016 to: Chisinau, str. V.Alecsandri 119, office 202 as follows: Mondays to Fridays between 9:00 - 16:00 on the day of September 29th between 9:00 - 17:00 .
Representatives of Platform Dignity and Truth require restitution of documents filed by the candidate of power, as this favors him illegally compared to other candidates.
