The Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) adopted a decision similar to CA Chisinau, on the CEC decision on canceling the registration of DP candidate Marian Lupu in the presidential race, writes ziarulnational.md.
The decision was taken after representatives of DA, Andrei Nastase and Alexandru Suslari challenged the High Court, the CA Chisinau decision on rejecting the application by the DA Platform, on the canceling of the mentioned CEC decision.
Recall that last week the Court of Appeal decided that the application DA representatives on the cancellation of registration of the candidate the Democratic Party, Marian Lupu CEC is unfounded, which is why it was rejected.
The same opinion is shared by the SJC, which dismissed the appeal of the Platform representatives, so Marian Lupu remains in the electoral race.
SJC magistrates found that the first court decision is correct for that breach of the schedule for receiving documents by CEC, is not grounds for annulment of the contested decision.
SJC also found that neither Nastase nor Suslari have not invoked the right to be registered as a prime candidate.
