The Head of the National Anticorruption Directorate of Romania, Laura Kovesi, and other Romanian officials will attend an event in Moldova dedicated to the implementation of judicial reforms and fighting corruption.
According to radiochisinau.md, the forum entitled "Judicial reform and fighting corruption in European perspective" is for the first time organized in Chisinau and will take place on 10 -11 November. The respective Ministries of Moldova and Romania organized the event.
Several Romanian officials, including the Romanian Minister of Justice, Raluca-Alexandra Pruna and the Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate, Laura Codruta Kovesi, are expected to attend the event. The presence of the latter has been confirmed for Radio Chisinau by the press service of the NAD. The forum will be also attended by representatives of the main institutions of justice and civil society from Moldova and Romania: Superior Council of Magistracy (SCM), Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ), Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), National Anticorruption Center (NAC), National Integrity Commission (NIC), Department of Penitentiary Institutions (DPI), National Anticorruption Directorate (NAD) (Romania), etc.
The forum aims to become the main communication platform in the field of justice and contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation in this field.
