The Moldovan Ambassador to Belarus, Gheorghe Hioară , was recalled from office. A decision to this effect was approved by the Executive on March 22 and published today in the Official Gazette.
The reason for the ambassador being recalled, has not been announced.
Gheorghe Hioară was appointed to this position in July of 2010 and several months later, he was appointed the Permanent Representative of Moldova in CIS statutory bodies.
Hioară has been ambassador of Moldova in the Republic of Macedonia, but was recalled in 2003.
According to ZDG, Hioară’s position could be taken by the current Socialist deputy Victor Sorocean, who would have neither education nor experience in this field. Moreover, the MP had several convictions.
