The EU will give Moldova a financial assistance worth EUR 15 million as a grant.
Today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and enlargement negotiations, signed in Chisinau, the Financing Agreement between the Moldovan government and the European Union to support the program for public administration reform in Moldova.
The event was held in the context of Johannes Hahn's visit to Moldova.
The overall objective of the Agreement is to strengthen the institutional capacity of central government and local authorities in Moldova, to develop and implement comprehensive policies and ensure efficient delivery of public services of high quality, according to European principles of public administration .
The agreement will be implemented within six years, according to the Public Administration Reform Strategy for the years 2016-2020.
The Agreement aims to increase the capacity of public administration for the fulfillment of commitments stemming from the Association Agreement with the European Union.
