A car with government registration numbers hit a woman crossing the street with a baby in her arms. Following the impact, the woman suffered more injuries and was transported to the hospital for medical first aid.
According to the police, the accident occurred on Tuesday, October 10, on Alba Iulia Street in the Buiucani district of the capital.
The law enforcement officials that arrived on the spot have determined that a "Skoda Superb" model with a government numbers, driven by a 36-year-old driver, has struck a 36-year-old woman with a child in her arms crossing the street illegally.
After the accident, the victim was taken over by a crew of the 903 service and transported to the hospital for medical assistance, with minor injuries.
Law enforcement officials have launched an investigation. The road accident witnesses will be heard to determine all the circumstances of the case.
If the driver is found guilty, he/she risks 6 penalty points and a fine of 1,500 lei. At the same time, if during the investigation it is established that the woman violated the pedestrian traffic rules, she will receive a fine from 450 to 600 lei.
