Due to unfavorable weather conditions, a crisis sell was created in the country.
The announcement was made in the framework of a joint briefing by Emergency Situations Services, Mihail Harabagiu, Chief of the General Inspectorate of Police, Alexandru Pînzari and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Iurie Uşurelu.
Harabagiu said the situation is complicated but is kept under control. "At the moment, it's snowing all over the country. Around 140 localities across the country are disconnected from electricity," Harabagiu said.
At the same time, the Head of the Emergency Situations Service informed that it was created a crisis cell at the Prime Minister's indication, which is already functioning, and where the representatives from Gas Natural Fenosa, from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Health were invited.
Harabagiu also emphasized that the interventions will be carried out according to priorities, especially the elders and children in difficulty will be helped first.
During the briefing, the head of the General Police Inspectorate, Alexandru Pînzari, informed that there were about 20 road accidents in the country, and 86 cars were damaged after the trees fell over them. Pânzari also said that it is difficult to reach Hânceşti, Orhei, Dubăsari and Căuşeni districts.
Until now, only one person needed medical care after a branch of a tree fell over them and fractured a foot bone.
