Vlad Biletchi, the young man who leads the protests organized in Chisinau earlier this week, is being investigated by police for "deviation from established place of protest - in the Great National Assembly Square and deliberate blocking of streets".
Biletchi confirmed the information on a social network, "I am under investigations because of the protests. I shall challenge it! We continue to fight!"
The young man was called to the Police Inspectorate of Center District, where he was accused of violating the Law on Assemblies and deliberate blocking of the arteries and streets. Vlad Biletchi was also fined.
On 14 November, the day after the presidential election, hundreds of people came to the Great National Assembly Square to protest against the election results. The protesters demanded the resignation of the CEC and chanted slogans against Idor Dodon, the elected president.
